Quarto, original papered boards with cloth backstrip, titling labels to the spine; 132 pp., frontispiece and 34 full-page photo plates. Lacks front free endpaper and the half-title page, mild preliminary foxing, boards rubbed and worn at extremities, front joint partially split. First edition.

One of the classic Australian First World War Battalion histories, notable for the excellent suite of plates depicting hard fighting on the battlefields of France.
