A near-fine copy with dust-jacket, from the collection of the Australian Society of World War One Aero Historians (with endpaper stamp). The story of Rex Warneford, the young Royal Naval Air Service pilot who, in bringing down the first German Zeppelin in aerial combat, gained one of the only two Victoria Crosses awarded to naval airmen during the First World War, a feat which brought him lasting fame.
