'Suspense' is Conrad's last novel and tragically, was left unfinished when he died. But nearly 90,000 words of his work are extant, and this huge fragments forms a narrative of intense dramatic interest and magnificent quality. It is not a sea story, but centres round the character of Napoleon Bonaparte (from the dust-jacket). Item #1384
